Stumbled across this tidbit, and since I don’t have anything prepared (yet) to write today, I thought I’d share . . .

Independence Day 2012 Free Shipping – Powell’s Books.

. . .  because this blog isn’t just a platform for wanton navel-gazing, it also offers practical tips to enhance your daily activities, and furnish your life with an extra dimension of pleasure. You bloggers with (unlike some of us) more than five readers, do them a favor and pass this on. You’re welcome.

I’m going to order The Beautiful Anthology, edited by Elizabeth Collins, and published by TNB Books, because if there’s anything that rings all my chimes at once—physical, emotional, intellectual, philosophical, and spiritual—it’s beauty. In Vaisnava (Hare Krishna) theology, God (and Goddess), Radha-Krishna, are considered the form of beauty Themselves, Madana-mohana-mohini, “the attractor of the attractor of the demigod of love,” so anything beautiful is considered a spark of Their total gorgeousness. I’m very curious to see what others have to say about Beauty, since I’ve secretly written about it myself, and never really tire of the subject. Shall I write a review of it when I’m done? Sure, why not.

Wait a dogbone minute—did I just write a blog post in under ten minutes? Yes, yes I did! Halleluiah and Hare Krishna.

Any suggestions for books to order before the free shipping promotion ends tomorrow? What’s on your list of books-to-buy?

Actually, The Beautiful Anthology sounds very interesting . . .

Thanks for the heads-up, Tulasi-Priya–I’m gonna go browse now, credit card in hand!

Rats! I don’t understand how I keep missing all the new posts. Changing my email address really jacked up my blog-tracking.

How do you keep track, via email subscription, or blog reader?

Off topic. Again. This is the strangest way to communicate but it has its own charm.

I tried to tell my husband the fish joke and I had to explain it to him. It is pitiful. And I was laughing so hard. I’m lucky he didn’t hospitalize me.
